Now that it’s 2009 I think it’s about time that I clean up the dust bunny infested blog and post something new. It’s a new year and thus it’s a time for change. At least this is what people mostly all over the world would be telling you as they hit the gym to renew themselves with fresh new resolutions that will slowly slip away in the abyss of one’s brain, or will become lost in time or the lack of time management. A custom character sketch from Final Fantasy Online of Ayasu. Enjoy.
Recently, I’ve been trying to kick the habit of eating out as much as possible. So this means I’m back in the kitchen trying to cook meals that will last me at least 3 days. We’re talking breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No, not the same thing 3 times a day for a week.
Anyway, I came across a funny web calculator “Feed the Pig,” which calculates how much you save if you didn’t eat out (as much). This is basically what it is (I think). This definatly encourages me to pack more lunches and curb my urges to eat out. Hopefully, I can attempt the “Once-a-Month-Cooking.” Eventually….
Currently I’m thinking about birthday gifts. It isn’t because it’ll be anyone’s birthday soon, rather, it was because Vance a friend of mine, asked that supposedly magical question: What do you want for your birthday? I guess under a normal circumstances one would have an answer ready for this common question. Unfortunately, I was not prepared and was absolutely stumped. Continue reading ‘Another Year’
This is a proverb from China.
The things you can buy with money & the things you cannot buy with money.
One can buy a house, but cannot buy a home
One can buy a watch, but cannot buy time
One can buy a bed, but cannot buy sleep
One can buy a book, but cannot buy wisdom
One can buy a skilled doctor, but cannot buy health
One can buy social status, but cannot buy respect
One can buy blood, but cannot buy life
One can buy sex, but cannot buy love

Recently I went on a trip with the pepband to play at the Davis Picnic event. When much was happening in the back of the bus (details that I’ll leave for you to imagine - it’s probably juicier in the imagination anyway
), I was in the front playing a awesome telephone like doodle game. Continue reading ‘Pepband Trip Doodles’

This claymation More by Mark Osborne, is a short animation that gave me the inspiration to make my own claymation The Things We See which can be found in my portfolio section. Though there are no quotes, I’m putting it under the category of “words of wisdom” since there’s something that can be learned from this video. At least that is what I believe.
