Dynamic Animal Sketching - Watercolors

Dynamic Animal Sketching - Watercolors
Today was suppose to be a Zoo day for class, since it was raining the class met up at the studio. We were basically allowed to do whatever we wanted for the class. There were markers and watercolors. I chose the path of the watercolors. Continue reading ‘Dynamic Animal Sketching - Watercolors’

Dynamic Animal Sketching - Class 3

Dynamic Animal Sketching 03 For the fall quarter at Watts Atelier I decided to take Dynamic Animal Sketching taught by Steve Fishwick. This class we were suppose to take our quick sketch and attempt to take it to another level of finish. Hopefully, I’ll be updating more as I draw more animals at the zoo.

Head Drawing Qtr 2 - Class 1

Qrt 2 - Portrait class 1My second quarter has begun in Watts Atelier of the Arts and I am quiet excited to be back in school. During the break I was being a slacker and hadn’t drawn much…. Additionally, I had my ipod which I take with me almost everywhere I go now. ;) Continue reading ‘Head Drawing Qtr 2 - Class 1′

Head Drawing Class extra

Extra Class Thumb

I had a make-up class slip so I went to another portrait class for my make up! I took my ipod today to see if music would help to shut my brain up. Tried to take the relax and draw slow method, in addition to the music. It helped greatly!

Brain: That’s an eye, that’s a chin, that’s a nose… wait… you sure it’s suppose to look like that?

Me: Shut up brain. =_=

Read the rest of my entry to see the last sketch! :D Until next quarter adieu! Continue reading ‘Head Drawing Class extra’

Head Drawing Class 9

Ahh!!! Class numero 9!! D: *cry* Today’s model was super cool! It was nice since we’d been drawing many Caucasians. So got to play with alot more contrast. He was wearing a white shirt, so that was pretty nice too.  :)

Head Drawing Class 8

Qrt 1 - Portrait class 8

Ah today’s model looked really tired… but she was really cool. I approached my study a little differently. I’ve noticed I always mess up the left eye. I also realized that after watching the demos, I feel as if I have to get the lay in of the drawing quickly so I can get to my half tones faster. Basically I’m rushing when I draw, instead of taking it easy and observing the subject carefully.
